К начальному посту -

1) "Для себя" -- проблем вообще не вижу. Если есть желание попробовать себя в переводах - берете статью, обосновываете актуальность - и вперед - переводите (мучаетесь ))))
Я так и делаю счас

2) "Для поддержки гражданского общества". Ну не знаю. Как это выглядит? Хотя если я был бы полезен ему, то мог бы, наверное, принять участие (англ)


p.s. В очередной раз убеждаюсь. Как же отличается ЗНАНИЕ ин. языка (понимание текста) и умение ПЕРЕВОДИТЬ (подыскивать соответствующие лексические единицы) !!! К ранее мною поднимавшейся теме "переводчик юр. текста - юрист или лингвист?", напрашивается вывод, что юрист со знанием языка лучше все же владеет первым, а лингвистов в вузах так просто обучают технике/искусству второго (абсолютно четка прослеживается у синхронистов. там не владеть большим количеством типовых лексических соответствий просто нельзя)

я юрист. ну вот и наверстываю второе ))
